Just a fun purchase!
Yes, my parents gave us a fruit cake every year too. This one is as heavy and fruit-filled as I remember. It's just a fun Christmas memory that will now grace our countertop or hold the swinging door in the hallway next December. I'm glad I was able to buy it on sale, but either way, it's going to be around for a long time . . . just like the real ones were.

Cute! Lots of Laughs!
This brought back many memories as our grandmother use to make Loaf Fruit cakes for Christmas and give them to everyone. Don't know anyone who really wanted it! I use it as a center piece on a platter for Christmas Eve. everyone Loved and got a kick out of it! Made us remimunise about Christmases past!

Pleasantly Surprised
I ordered this "fruitcake" doorstop as a gag gift for my brother-in-law. Last Christmas he had made fun of his mom's fruitcake (you know, all the classic brick hard fruitcake comments). I thought this would be fun to have under the tree this Christmas, especially since the tag reads from "Grandma" and that's what all our children call my mother-in-law.
