not what I expected
This trivet is very pretty, but a lot thinner than I expected. It should serve the purpose though, so will still give them as gifts.

Disappointment
The product did not match my expectation based on the picture in the catalogue. It looked like stained wood and instead it is painted. It is also much thinner than I expected so it feels flimsy to me. In general, I bought it as a "stocking stuffer" gift and now I am reconsidering giving it because it looks cheap. I have purchased bamboo trivets at a chain store for less money and they look and feel great.

Great gift
I have gotten five of these trivits for friends and one for myself. The size is perfect for the holiday table and pretty too.

Very Nice
This was a very nice gift, but I thought from the picture that is looked much more like wood grain than it did when I opened it up. It is more of a light brown painted color.
